The terms governing purchases made through Arilator, and product listings by vendors.
This is a draft, written to reflect how Arilator actually operates. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel — do not treat it as final or binding.
Arilator Inc (Delaware, USA) and its Indian subsidiary, Arilator India Pvt Ltd, together operate a payment and billing layer connecting Indian businesses ("Buyers") with software companies ("Vendors") that don't have an Indian entity. In these terms, "Arilator," "we," and "us" refer to both entities together, unless a section says otherwise.
For a purchase made through Arilator:
Arilator charges a convenience fee (currently 8% of the subscription amount) for enabling payment via UPI, and applicable GST (currently 18%) on the subscription amount plus that fee. A Buyer with a verified GSTIN on file receives an invoice itemizing this GST, which may be claimed as Input Tax Credit subject to applicable law.
Buyers are responsible for providing accurate billing information — including GSTIN, where applicable — and for complying with the Vendor's own terms of service for the product being purchased. Arilator is not the developer or operator of the underlying product.
Vendors are responsible for the product itself — its functionality, support, and its own terms of service and privacy practices. Vendors provide Arilator with a working provisioning method and a settlement bank account, and are responsible for keeping both current.
Buyer payments are collected by Arilator India Pvt Ltd. Vendor settlement is paid on a monthly cycle to the bank account the Vendor has provided, net of Arilator's fee.
Refund requests are handled case by case. The Vendor's own refund policy for the underlying product applies, unless the issue was caused by an error on Arilator's side. To start a request, contact refunds@arilator.com.
Either party may stop using Arilator's services at any time. Obligations for transactions already completed — settlement, invoicing — survive termination.
Arilator's service is provided "as is." Arilator is not responsible for the availability, quality, or content of a Vendor's product. To the extent permitted by law, Arilator's liability for any claim is limited to the fees Arilator received for the transaction giving rise to the claim.
Transactions with Arilator India Pvt Ltd are governed by the laws of India. Matters involving Arilator Inc are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA.
Arilator may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
